Fruit Salsa Recipe

This recipe is awesome for BBQs or family gatherings. I recently took this to a playdate BBQ and it was a big hit. It's strawberry season here in the Low-country and we just we to a patch a few days ago and got some fresh ones. You can expect lots of strawberry recipes to come.  =) You can mix and match pretty much any fruit you want in this recipe.

Whatcha’ need:

·         2 kiwis, peeled and diced
·         2 Golden Delicious apples - peeled, cored and diced
·         8 ounces raspberries or blackberries
·         16 ounces of strawberries (about 1 container) diced
·         2 tablespoons white sugar (more or less to taste)
·         1 tablespoon brown sugar (more or less to taste)
·         3 tablespoons fruit preserves, any flavor (I used strawberry)

In a large bowl, mix together all of the ingredients. Stir well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes.

*Be sure to eat fruit salsa the same day you make it, otherwise it tends to get runny*

I'd recommend serving with Baked Cinnamon & Sugar Pita Chips.
